Since watching the my first WW2 movie, or reading my first issue of Commando Comic, I have always wanted a jeep. With other priorities in life, I never got around to it, until this year (2008).

I joined my local military vehicle collectors group and started the hunt. After a few tries at farm clearance auctions, I was given a lead to a 1944 GPW jeep that was located in central Victoria.

With the help of some the club members, we drove to Bendigo, made an offer, and bought home a sad looking jeep

Well that was May, and a lot of progress has been made. I am hoping to have MIMI, the girls named here, back on the road in 2009.
